Prime Minister Trudeau Visits Fort Qu'Appelle

We are extremely proud and honored to have Wilfred Hunt parent, Edmund Bellegarde, welcome Prime Minister Trudeau to File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council where he was among other First Nations leaders discussing Aboriginal issues related to all Canadians.  A highlight of this meeting, from Hunter Bellegarde's perspective, was FaceTIming with the Prime Minister and introducing herself to him!  We are very proud of the leadership the Bellegarde's provide in the Wilfred Hunt community and beyond!

Staff Appreciation - Wilfred Hunt Style

A huge thank you goes out to our School Community Council who treated the staff like movie stars for the week of Feb. 22 - 26.  While Staff Appreciation Week occurred from Feb. 8 - 12, our amazing SCC prefers to do things just a bit better and different than others.  They wanted to welcome staff back after the break, showering them with treats and thoughts.  We truly have an amazing community!

Other activities were a luncheon sponsored to CNG Stone Products, some incredibly creative decorating, and a social afternoon hosted by a member of our SCC.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Day of Pink

At Wilfred Hunt, we celebrated Day of Pink with a number of activities.  One activity was the kindness notes that everyone at Hunt filled out on behalf of their classmates and teachers.  These notes were posted all around the school.  We also had a "fashion show" that everyone was able to sport their Pink Fashion-wear.  A great day was had by all.  And most importantly, we hope this shows our support for anti-bullying at Wilfred Hunt!

Suessical Invades Hunt

Thank you to the amazingly talented students and staff that all contributed to phenomenal performances of Suessical.  The students practiced MANY hours over the past couple of months.  We are extremely proud of the talent we have at Wilfred Hunt.

Pancake Breakfast Draws Near!

This year's pancake breakfast is less than 1 week away!  On Fri. Dec. 11 from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., Wilfred Hunt will be hosting its 17th annual Pancake Breakfast.  Admission is collected at the door ($3 per person or $10 for a family).  There will also be a number of prize draws.  Raffle tickets will be sold at a price of $2 each, $5 for 5 tickets, or $10 for 15 tickets.

All proceeds from this Pancake Breakfast go to support Marion Center and Souls Harbor Rescue Mission.  These two centers help Regina's homeless and struggling individuals with a warm place and a warm meal.  Wilfred Hunt and their community are pleased to continually support these two centers and the individuals they support.

Please consider coming on Fri. Dec. 11 to support Wilfred Hunt and this endeavor!
