School's Out For Summer!

As we conclude this very unusual year, we want to thank you for your continued support. The Wilfred Hunt staff has missed the hustle and bustle of school over the past three months. The supplemental learning journey has been an adventure and we are very thankful for your cooperation and encouragement throughout this challenging time. We were very happy to hear that the Saskatchewan government has approved schools to re-open in September. We hope that as a province we will continue to flatten the curve in order to allow provincial reopening phases to occur as planned. In the meantime, we have some final messages to share.

Congratulations to our 31 Grade Eight students!  While we know that this was not the ending that anyone had hoped for, we would like to thank you for your many contributions to Wilfred Hunt over the years. We wish you the best on your next adventure in high school and in your continued educational journey. You will always be welcome to visit J

Next year will also bring some changes to our staff at Wilfred Hunt School. We want to thank the following staff members for their time and commitment to their students and wish them farewell and best wishes:

Many of you will have questions regarding plans for September. We will continue to update the school website, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts throughout the summer as new information comes available. Our hope is to welcome all of the hornets back to the nest on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1. Thank you for staying safe and healthy so that we can all be back together soon. If plans change for you and your family, please notify the school by leaving a voicemail at 306-791-8451 or emailing us at

In closing, we would also like to take the time to thank the Wilfred Hunt community, parents, students and staff for an outstanding year at Wilfred Hunt! We know that the events of the last few months have been unexpected, but we are proud of the resilience witnessed and the new learnings observed. We hope that you have positive memories of your year at Wilfred Hunt School and that you and your family stay healthy.  Take good care of each other and have a wonderful summer!
